Come to Goolwa

The Fleurieu Peninsula is South Australia's premier tourist destination with rolling green hills, orchards, farms, vineyards and excellent golf courses all bounded by picturesque beaches and rugged coastlines. After golf there is plenty to do in the region – cruising, surfing, fishing, diving, snorkelling, sailing, art, wine, food, whale watching, hot air ballooning, historic biplanes, steam engines, kayaking and more. Life's an adventure on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

The picturesque coastal town of Goolwa situated at the mouth of the River Murray, is a town steeped in the traditions of the Ngarrindjeri Nation and unique riverboat history. Goolwa is on the last loop of the River Murray as it skirts around Hindmarsh Island. On 12 March 2007, the historic River Port of Goolwa was accredited as the first Cittaslow or "SlowTown" in Australia. Goolwa joined the international network of towns and cities that combine the efforts of Council, the business community and residents to improve the quality of life for all who live and work in their town.
